St Nicholas, Thames Ditton is a Church of England parish in the Diocese of Guildford.
REV. ANDREW COWIE - VICAR
I am privileged to be the current vicar at St. Nicholas’ church which has been a place of worship for 900 years. I grew up locally, so know Thames Ditton well.
There is lots going on at St. Nicholas. This is an exciting place to be, as we seek to follow Jesus’ example, and abound in his love.
Our vision at St. Nicholas’ is to grow in numbers, deepen our faith and serve our community.
We have been blessed to see the church grow by over 30% in the last three years. We have a number of home groups where people can grow in faith, and there are lots of opportunities for people to serve our community.
I hope you will find a warm welcome at St Nicholas’, and I look forward to meeting you at one of our services or activities, or in the village.
Rev. Sarb Klair - Curate
Sarb joined us in July 2017 and will be with us until 2020. Sarb has a passion for helping people explore God’s word and he leads a number of Bible studies and is always eager to chat with those who have questions about the Christian faith (over coffee or a beer!).
In addition to helping to lead and preach at all the morning services on a Sunday, he is also actively involved with the Sunday evening youth ministry (for the 10-14 year olds, called #FM) and with our 4 o'clock church (second Sunday of the month in the Church Hall), oftentimes featuring our puppets.
Sarb completed his theological training at Ridley Hall, Cambridge. Before moving into full-time Christian ministry, Sarb worked as a hedge-fund manager.
